Find the Notes In Docs Add-on on Google Workspace Marketplace
NotesInDocs Menu:
In Google Docs™,
To create a new NotesInDocs file,
create a new blank file Google Doc file
name the file
use NotesInDoc menu "Initialize a new document " to apply a standard NotesInDoc format
If you want, you can change the 'chronologic' from 'top' to 'bottom' and the heading will be added with the most recent at the bottom
the top line is intended to be a smart chip link to the file itself. But Google Apps scripts can not (yet) insert SmartChips. Instead the user has to hover the cursor over the link and choose to convert link to a SmartChip
After you have followed the instructions above, your new document will look like
After you have been working in the file for a while it might look like this
Whenever you need to enter a new heading for the current date use the menu item "add today's heading"
If you want to enter a template for a new structured email, use the menu item "insert template for email'
TIP: I like to access menu items quickly using the Alt+'/' menu instead of drilling down through menus
I enter 'tod' to get the "add today's heading"
I enter 'emt' to get the 'insert Template for an email (emt)'
